How long will my order take to send?
We strive to get your order to you as quickly as possible – but we will do our utmost to get it done within 7 – 10 days (plus whatever delivery timescale you chose), so please bear that timescale in mind when ordering! It really is dependent on the time of year – wedding season, ie, February to September, sees us inundated with orders! It is also very much dependent on what you have ordered – many of our products need to be personalised or made from scratch and this takes longer than off-the-shelf items such as paper. That said, we can often accommodate short-notice orders – please contact us if you need your order as a matter of urgency (please see below section on urgent orders).
Please note that we do not send out orders on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY OUR DELIVERY OPTIONS INFORMATION BELOW – we know, it does seem rather long and tedious (yawn), but it will explain a lot and save any annoyance later if you don’t get delivery when you expect it!
First class delivery
Applies to orders up to a value of £25.00. If you need your order urgently, please see our URGENT ORDERS section below.
Please note that first class delivery is not always next day and can take a few days to arrive. Royal Mail does not guarantee next day with first class. If you need your order urgently or by a deadline please see the relevant urgent section below. We also offer a tracked and signed for service.
TRACKED and signed for delivery
This option is trackable and requires a signature. This is the default delivery option for orders over £25 (although you can defer to free 2nd class delivery if your order is over £65 but this isn’t trackable and can take up to a week) . Opting for the tracked and signed delivery means a signature can help with finding out who signed for it if delivery is in, say, a workplace, or if it doesn’t arrive when you are expecting it. Please note that if you opt for the free delivery or first class delivery, if it does go astray in the post, Royal Mail do not consider anything lost until 15 working days have elapsed. Therefore, we would not be able to redo and resend your order until this timescale has passed and it is deemed your parcel is definitely lost. Therefore, we would strongly recommend tracked and signed-for delivery, particularly if you have a deadline to receive your order, as this will shed light on where your parcel is at any point.
Depending on the time of day your order is completed, tracked and signed will be via either courier or Royal Mail – well worth £5.99 for the peace of mind! Please note that delivery is Monday to Friday (orders placed Friday will be delivered Monday). On rare occasions it may be necessary to contact customers who are having delivery to the UK islands or Highlands to advise of an additional postage charge. This only applies if orders turn out to be over 2 kg in weight.
Urgent Orders or orders with a need-by date
If you must have your order the day after you place it or you need it by a particular imminent date PLEASE PHONE US! We can then advise if next day delivery is possible or we can make sure we can meet your imminent deadline. This will be via Royal Mail Special Delivery and you will need to choose the £5.99 tracked and signed option at checkout. This will save any angst if your order is not sent on the day you place it or doesn’t arrive by the day you need it. We need you to phone because orders and emails may not be read until it is too late, as much of the day is spent making up orders and we open orders when we get to them, which makes it fair as people get their order in order of placement. PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY URGENT DELIVERY INFO IN THE COMMENTS SECTION OF YOUR ORDER AS THEY WON’T BE SEEN UNTIL THE ORDER IS OPENED!
DELAY, LOSS OR DAMAGE
Please let us know immediately of any damage or delay caused with the delivery of your order, so that we can start a prompt claims process with Royal Mail (after 3 weeks have lapsed) or the courier company. Please allow a reasonable time for delivery with regard to non-trackable items before claiming a loss from us as Royal Mail will not consider anything lost until 15 working days have elapsed. Once parcels leave us they are at the mercy of the delivery company or Royal Mail and we have no control over their tender care so please do not get cross with us if delays happen – we are sensitive souls and do our best to get your order to you on time!
If you have advised us of somewhere safe to leave your order, we cannot be held responsible if it goes missing after delivery, so please make sure the place you specify is safe! Also, make sure you specify somewhere out of the rain! We will not refund orders that go missing after delivery has been made or have been left exposed to all that the weather can throw at them.
When your order is completed you will be emailed to say it is done and on its way. If you chose the tracked and signed option, the delivery company too will email you to advise of a delivery date; if Royal Mail special delivery is used, they do not send confirmation emails. If a parcel is returned to us because the customer was not in to sign for it (3 delivery attempts will be made if by courier), or a card was left and the customer did not rearrange delivery or pick up, there will be a further re-delivery cost to be paid – this can be the courier charge of £5.99 or the applicable Royal Mail charge for the size of package.

Our delivery information is necessarily long to avoid misunderstandings but we hope we have explained it OK!
