Lovely seed paper butterflies which will grow into flowers if planted. Each plantable seed paper butterfly measures 4.75 inches at its widest point (wing tip to wing tip) x 3.5 inches high. They come as a pack of 20. They are cut from thick paper made from 70% cotton and 30% recycled paper, and generously scattered with a choice of 3 seed types: meadow wildflowers and meadow grass seeds (and bits of grass); poppy seeds (with colourful petals); and Forget-me-not seeds. The meadow and poppy seeds have been grown in the UK and are only UK species. Choose your paper from the drop-down menu above.

How to plant seed paper butterflies
Run the butterfly under the tap to give it a good soak for a few seconds and then simply place it on top of a pot of compost and water in. It is vital for germination success not to allow the paper to dry out! Place somewhere warm and light to germinate. Once seedlings have grown into strong plants, plant outside in a sunny spot for a splash of blue flowers! We do not recommend planting directly into the garden due to the risk of slugs and mice eating the seeds/seedlings! A planting instruction card will be sent with the butterflies.
